This is what’s included in my doula package:

A free meeting. This meeting is non-committing. We get together to see if we make a good match. If not, there is no obligation for payment or provision of services.

We have (at least) two meetings before the birth, the first free meeting not included. This is to get to know each other, to make a birth plan, and to get to know everybody’s expectations. I find it important to meet with everyone that is going to be at the birth (except of course the hospital staff) so we know in advance what role everyone is going to fulfill at the birth.

An ‘open phone line’; you can call me at any time during the day and evening with questions, concerns, or anything you want. I am at your service.

An ‘open phone line’ day and night, for when your labor starts. You can call me at any time of the day or night when you need me. You decide how early you want me to come. But note: there is no discount for calling me later or not calling me at all.

I will stay with you from the moment I arrive until 1-2 hours after the birth, usually until you’re settled into your post-partum hospital room. I offer help in any way, as is desired by you at that moment. I also help with the first breastfeeding in the delivery room.

Another meeting about 1-2 weeks after the birth.

Please note:

I do not work on Shabat. However, I will make sure that someone will be available if you do go into labor on Shabat or right before. Of course you will have the opportunity to meet this person before the birth.

Or there could be reasons which are in God’s hands that make it impossible for me to attend your birth. In that case, another doula will be available to you at no extra cost.
